Theory
Silica has the characteristics of small particle size, large specific surface area and rich hydroxyl group on the surface. It is often used in the pelletizing of tablets and oil and extract drugs, and is mostly used as a lubricating flow aid, anti-adhesion agent, adsorbent, antistatic agent, slow-release preparation, grinding aid, crystal stability accelerator, colon targeting preparation, etc. The porous silica is used as a carrier to adsorb the drug molecules in the solvent to make a tablet, which enhances the hardness of the tablet and prevents the material from adhering to the punch, and is also conducive to the pill being more easily dissolved when it comes into contact with the dissolution medium and speeds up the dissolution rate of the drug.
